Based on the writings of Rav Chaim Cohen, the Chalban, Tallelei Chaim, Sefer Bereishis, P. 559. How far does the principle of: ein somchin all ha'ness (we are not to allow to rely on a miracle) go? Especially since there are great tzaddikim who have brought miracles into this world - tzaddik gozer ve Hakadosh Baruch Hu mekayem (a righteous person decrees and Hashem upholds that decree). Obvious and hidden miracles throughout the generations, certainly on a national level. We must learn to stop caring so much about what the world says about the Jewish nation. On the other hand - we must rely on certain types of national miracles because of Hashem's promise to klal Yisrael (to the nation). The more connected a person is to Am Yisrael, the more he is connected to the hashgachah ([Hashem's] attention). A Jew who lives his life for klal Yisrael has "special privileges." The progression from an individual to a nation-person, the greatest example: Rebbi Akiva.
